Chia Seed Blueberry Vanilla Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of frozen berries
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbs of chia seeds
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup

Directions

  1. Over medium heat stir the berries until they heat up and can be easily mushed with a fork.
  2. Stir in the vanilla and chia seeds. Mix well.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes:
  • Chia seeds provide a healthy dose of Omega 3’s
  • If you find that you would like a sweeter jam, you can add a little bit of honey to the final product. Our blueberries were sweet enough on their own so we skipped on the sweetener.
